While I was out at Adobe I picked up a new messenger bag for the 17″ MacBookPro. I’ve been a fan of the Timbuk2 bags since I got my first one a few years ago. Even better than a stock bag though are the custom bags that are available at the Timbuk2 boutique in San Francisco. You can pick from a handful of bags in the store or you can custom design one after perusing the fabric swatches. My bag features the “small dots” pattern by designers Ray and Charles Eames. The Small Dot design originated as the Eames’s entry into a textile competition held by the Museum of Modern Art in 1947. I love how the pattern captures the modern design of the mid-20th century. The bag very comforably holds my laptop and a lot of other stuff.
