This isn’t at all food related, but I couldn’t resist writing about tonight’s MU smackdown of a football game against the undefeated Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Tonight MU took a rainy Faurot field against the 10th ranked Nebraska for a sold-out crowd. After an average performance in the first half and a sad third quarter the Tigers had an amazing fourth quarter.
My favorite play of the game was the Smith-Outlaw-Smith screen for a touchdown. After a perfect faked field goal/touchdown Nebraska basically gave up and allowed 27 unanswered points.
The win brings MU to 5-1 for the season and 1-1 in the conference. The great thing about this game is that MU hasn’t beat Nebraska in 25 years (30 at Faurot).
Now to call some Nebraska loving friends for some trash talk.
